1 Declutter

Clutter is powerful. The spaces we work in are a direct projection of our internal thoughts, feelings and health. It follows that if you want to feel more organised and have more clarity in your business, decluttering your desk is the first place to start. All those papers lying around represent delayed decisions. Every time you see them there’s a slight increase in stress. This takes up brain capacity and drains your energy levels. By decluttering, you make space for creativity and clarity. Apply it not only to your papers but to your office furniture and trinkets too.

Clear out 10–25% of EVERYTHING around you. Be. Ruthless. The more space you have for the energy to FLOW, the more good things will come to you.

2 Power Position

Position enhances power and therefore success. It is of the utmost importance that your desk faces the door. Period.

Why? Because new opportunities/people enter through the door (not the window – windows are for thieves). If you turn your back to it, you’re effectively closing off this energy to your life.

If there’s not physically enough room to face the door, being able to “see” the door from your seated position will suffice - this includes placing a mirror opposite you to reflect the doorway.

Face the door. It will open your mind to see new possibilities, solutions and joy in your life. Your business will grow and your purpose will manifest because you are effectively saying to yourself “I accept that I am totally in alignment with the universe” (i.e. the door 😊).

Images. They have the power to uplift us as well as to trigger emotions.

In Feng Shui, whatever is in your images is literally IN the room. So, when it comes to your office, limit family and social images. This is a space to be concentrating on your work, not your family or your social life.

Include images of your products, certificates, logos and books on success because THAT is what you want to be focusing on when you’re in this room.

Your chair is a big deal. It supports you physically and emotionally. Choose a chair with a high back and a luxurious feel. You will FEEL supported, therefore you will THINK supported and ultimately ACT supported – which means you will actually BE supported because our thoughts become our reality.

Sitting in the power position makes you the Queen of your life – choose a chair that aligns with this to show the universe you mean business.

5 Colour

Some people’s lives are just too blank. Colours spark life!

You can use colour to uplift and align yourself with what you want to accomplish. Different colours enhance different elements. They’re relevant not only to your space but your wardrobe too.

For example, if you’re feeling a little flat and slow, add some red to your attire, your nails or your lips. Red represents the Fire Element and it’s a powerful way to instantly inject energy and enhance relationships.

Abundance is represented by Gold. Thanks to its reflective qualities, it also has an exponential doubling energy. Add gold objects to your office or gold frames to your art and certificates.

White represents the Metal Element and is excellent for attention to detail – beware though, too much can lead to perfectionism which may stop you from moving forwards by paralysing your decision-making abilities.
